What we do

AmaLaTerra Inc. is a newly formed Canadian based private company focused on providing solutions to the Clean Technology sector. The company is involved in R&D and commercialization of unique waste conversion technology to deal with the tremendous global waste accumulation dilemma, while protecting our environment, by effectively diverting waste from landfills. We are offering an effective Waste to Energy (WTE) technology in combination with a reliable cleaning systems to convert carbonaceous waste contents into higher value clean energy and sustainable products while drastically eliminating air, water, and land contamination. The developed technology is based on a Steam Reformation Process of waste producing high-quality Hydrogen and syngas, which can then be used to produce electricity, liquid synthetic fuels (bio fuels), and "green" chemicals using known and proven conversion technologies such as Fisher Tropsch.

The chemistry of the AmaLaTerra system is unique/different (from incineration and traditional reformation) with our processes using high concentrations of steam as a reactant and the total exclusion of air (oxygen) within the conversion process. Thus, the AmaLaTerra packaged system eliminates the formation of toxic substances, such as dioxins, furans, nitrous and sulphur oxides resulting in best in class very very low emissions. The result is Amalaterra provides a cost-effective solution for waste disposal with drastic greenhouse gas reductions, while producing clean energy and providing a viable sustainable product regeneration model. Thus drastically reducing the negative environmental impacts of waste being disposed into the environment (landfills) resulting in the tremendous reduction of continued environmental impacts and the elimination of the resulting methane off-gassing from land fill sites (methane being 25 times as potent as carbon dioxide at trapping heat in the atmosphere).

The AmaLaTerra packaged solution has been developed in house based on various proven international technologies (SRP) and on local technologies tested in Canada with some of the world's leading authorities in alternative energy including Lehder (one of the largest Air quality Management companies in Canada), the University of Toronto, Caterpillar turbines, and the Ontario Government. Our facilities are built in modules, making them easy to construct just about anywhere in the world, where there is a need to dispose of waste currently being directed to landfill, and where clean energy is a valued commodity. AmaLaTerra is supported by an incredible team of professionals with strong backgrounds in energy recovery, alternative energy, project management and facility infrastructure & construction. The proposed Steam Reformation Process of waste is more efficient and cost-effective than other thermo-chemical and bio-chemical technologies and able to convert both biodegradable and non-biodegradable carbonaceous waste contents into high value clean/renewable energy products.
